Spotted yesterday: A neighbor (definitely not me) learning the hard way that you should always wear non-slip shoes while shoveling snow 😉

As we settle into 2025's chilly start, that post-holiday slump is hitting hard. You know the one – where we all hibernate until spring when the temps hits 60° and we emerge from our homes like weary groundhogs.

☕️ Chester County Coffee Club Feedback

A big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the poll last week for the ChesCo Coffee Club shirts.

With 90% of folks voting they liked the shirts, we figure that’s a good sign to move forward. If you were in the 10% who didn’t like it for one reason or another, still, thank you for voting. We’d love to hear how we could do better or what type of design you may like.

Next step is to get our samples back from our manufacturer so we can check for quality before making them available for purchase.

😍 Adoptable Pets of the Week

🐶 Meet Stefan

This handsome gentleman has a story that could melt even the coldest of hearts. Scheduled to be euthanized due to an existing back injury and lack of space, he was rescued in the nick of time and given the care he needed to recover.

Currently in a foster home, you can catch Stefan cuddled up on the couch patiently waiting for his forever family to find him.

With a heart full of unconditional love, he’s hoping you’ll be his match.

🐱 Meet Laverne

This senior sweetheart is looking for her Shirley! With a soft & kind demeanor, Laverne is a shy but sweet lady who was rescued from a home with too many cats.

Due to her neglect she has had to have her teeth removed and is FIV+, so her immune system is reduced and may require extra care.

Despite the hardship life has thrown her way she is a kind and calm cat who wants to enjoy her golden years in a loving home.

📸 Flashback to 1847

We found this historical map of Chester County from 1847 and thought it was too cool not to share.

Hard to see in the photo, but the legend on the left states the total population of the county was only ~57,000 people, and West Chester had a total of 2,152 people.

I’m confident I saw that many people on a block of Gay St. for the restaurant festival last year.

Time waits for no one…what will Chester County look like in 2125?

This week’s featured event is the Eagles Road to Victory Bus Tour

When: Wednesday, 1/8/25

Where: Malvern, Phoenixville, Wayne, Ridley Park

What to expect: The NBC Sports Philadelphia Road to Victory Bus Tour is making stops across the greater Philly area this week so every Eagles fan can come out and show their support. Kicking off at Chickie’s & Pete’s in Malvern @ 11 am, rolling through to downtown Phoenixville, then off to Wayne before wrapping up at Stinger’s Waterfront in Ridley Park.

Fans can win exclusive merchandise, meet special guests, and enter to win playoff tickets.
