Good Morning Chester County,

As I sit here writing this intro on Sunday afternoon I’m getting my first peak at sunlight in what feels like days!

Although I didn’t see it myself on Saturday, I heard some areas of the county even got snow flurries this weekend. What?!

Despite mother nature’s temperamental mood, I’m still grateful I’m not wearing 4 layers of clothes just to go outside anymore.

What started as a fun way to find more things for my wife and I to do has turned into a small, but mighty community of almost 10,000 ChesCo locals coming together at the best events and supporting the local businesses that make our county great.

To celebrate, we’re doing a giveaway once we hit our mark.

🐶 Meet Small Fry

Though he is tiny in stature, this little fella has a big heart. Found as a stray, this underbite-toting cuddle bug is a bit nervous at first; however, once he warms up to you he will want to be in your arms all day. Give him the chance he deserves today.

🐱 Meet Chicken Tortilla

I’ll admit, this cat caught my eye because I was hungry while writing…but don’t let my hunger distract you. Little miss Tortilla is a gentle & playful cat that will brighten up any home she finds herself in. She’s got an independent streak, but gets along well with other cats. Don’t let this delectable…I mean, sweet cat pass you by.

Thanks again to everyone for their kind responses about the Local Business Bulletin. We’ve received a handful of new submissions, and will likely be figuring out a better way to display it so this doesn’t take up too much space.

This week’s featured event is The Lights Festival

When: Saturday, 4/19/25 - Gates open a couple hours before sunset around ~4:45 PM

Where: Plantation Field, 1537 West Doe Run Road, Coatesville, PA 19320

What: The Lights Fest is one of those experiences that sticks with you. Hundreds of people come together to release personalized sky lanterns into the night — each one carrying a hope, a memory, or a message. The night time sky is lit up as far as the eye can see. It’s more than just a nice view, though. There’s live music, food trucks, and a laid-back, feel-good vibe that makes it perfect for a date night, bringing the family together, or mixing it up with friends. Whether you’re marking a moment or just looking for something beautiful to be part of, this one’s worth showing up for.
