Gratitude, Holiday Parades, and Turkey Trots galore (+20 can't miss events)
Good Morning Chester County,
The theme of this week is, you guessed it: giving thanks.
There’s something undeniably special about the time between Thanksgiving and the holidays that helps us connect with gratitude in a way that, often times, escapes us the rest of the year.
This week we are grateful for:
Our loved ones who keep our hearts full
Our friends who keep us laughing
You, our community of readers that open up this email every week and help bring Chester County together.
This is what we’ve got on tap for Thanksgiving week:
An update on the county-wide burn ban
A hound dog that will make your heart melt
Holiday celebrations across the county
20+ events and enough turkey trots to burn off all the pie you eat this week
The Blend
A curated mix of local stories, updates, and announcements from our team.
🔥 Burn Ban Extended Through December
Despite some recent rain (and snow for some) last week, the Chester County Board of Commissioners extended the county-wide burn ban until December 26. The open burn ban includes open burning of any combustible material outdoors in either a burn barrel (screened or unscreened), fire ring, fire pit, or on the ground. This includes the burning of garbage, leaves, grass, twigs, litter, paper and vegetation from land which has been cleared.

🐶 Adoptable Pet of the Week - Bradley
Start playing Elvis’ “Hound Dog” for our adoptable pet of the week, Bradley. This 3 year old Bluetick Hound was surrendered to TLC Rescue after his owner was diagnosed with cancer and could no longer care for him. Currently in a foster home, Bradley gets along well with the family’s resident dog and is cat friendly.
He takes some time to warm up to new people but you’ll know you’re getting close to him when he begins to ask for pets and back scratches as he gets more comfortable.
Bradley is crate trained, calm and easygoing with bursts of energy you’d expect from a 3-year old.
A well-mannered and gentle soul, Bradley is looking for his forever family.
Think it could be you?
📸 Guess Where We Are
The colder weather has us day dreaming back to warmer days and beautiful sunsets.
Hint: Fans of beautiful walks in nature will know this great hiking spot nestled on the side of West Chester Pike.
🙌 A shout out to John R. and @micolejp who correctly guessed last week’s location! A special thanks to Tommy who helped us out with some grammar 😉.
