☕️ Big Events, Hidden Gems & and Adoptable Pets - Check it out
It’s a big week in Chester County—live music, local trivia, fundraisers, and a jazz fest you won’t want to miss.
Good Morning Chester County,
I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, and for our friends who may have enjoyed things just a little too much for St. Paddy’s celebrations…well, I hope you have some electrolytes and ibuprofen nearby to power through the day!
We’re still in our first full year of writing the Buzz, having started in late October.
Now there’s almost 9,000 of us connecting over the best things to do here in ChesCo.
Wow.
Having started this as a way for my wife and I to find new things to do outside of our same-old plans, I still get a big smile every time you reach out and share your favorite restaurants, things to do, or good times had from an event you found reading this.
We’re inching our way into Spring, and with that you’ll find some of the great annual events that happen around our County each year.
Can’t wait to see everyone out and about as the weather turns (if you see me out w/ my ChesCo Buzz hat on, say hi. It will make my day).
This is what we’ve got on tap:
Word Scramble and ChesCo Trivia
Elmo & Slinky are up for adoption
35th Annual WCU Jazz Fest
& 35 other local events to check out this week!

The Blend
A curated mix of local stories, updates, and announcements from our team.
♥️ Adoptable Pet of the Week
🐶 Meet Elmo
With so many adoptable animals out there, picking just two to feature each week can be a tough challenge…but sometimes, a photo stops you in your tracks.
With not much known about his background, Elmo is a show stopper with good looks to spare. This 1 year old pup is ready for a forever home that he can call his own.
🐱 Meet Slinky
At 10 years young, tuxedo cat Slinky is your perfect buddy-to-be with his friendly, mellow personality. This former stray enjoys bird watching, playing, and snuggling, proving senior cats still have plenty of love to give.

The Featured Pour
A closer look at the standout events happening this week
This week’s featured event is the 35th Annual WCU Jazz Festival
When: 3/19 - 3/22 with performances throughout each day
Where: All concerts take place in Madeleine Wing Adler Theatre
What to expect: This free (mostly!) event brings together world-class musicians, WCU’s talented students and faculty, and even rising high school jazz bands.
This year’s festival features saxophonist Steve Wilson, who will perform in multiple concerts, including a special chamber collaboration and a big band showcase. You’ll also hear Grammy-nominated pianist Gary Versace, WCU’s Criterions Jazz Ensemble, and the world premiere of a new concerto by six-time Grammy-winner Billy Childs.
Whether you’re a die-hard jazz fan or just looking for a great night out, this festival is a can’t-miss event. Most performances are free, but grab tickets for the High School Jazz Fest and finale.
